Talk Radio Taxi
It's Monday so it must be time for another taxi photo. Here's one advertising a new talk radio Station for the Edinburgh and Lothian area. I haven't listened to it myself yet, preferring the dulcet tones of Real Radio on my short drive to and from work, but you have to give credit to the taxi driver in the picture for allowing himself to be the butt of the advertiser's little joke. Mind you, since they began to put microphones in the cabs, our taxi drivers have become a lot quieter, usually switching the mike off once you've told them where to go.

credit to the advertisers as well! nice idea, allthough i dont think any taxi driver will be willing to advertise this way!
striking ! I like the colours on it! where is the Taxi sign, though ?
if you enlarge, you'll see a little black bit which sticks up on the roof, towards the front. The yellow TAXI light is within that bump!
And women? Don't they drive taxis in Edinburgh? The ad in taxi says "this guy"!
I realize just how boring our taxi's are here in Kansas City.

Thsi looks different then the other ones though. Somehow edgier... Is it an older model? Why do they need a microphone inside?
yeah nicola, these ones are a bit older. to protect the drivers from drunken or abusive passengers, there is a plastic screen between the front and the back. when the mike is on, the driver can communicate with the passengers.
nuno- sexist advertisers - what can I say?!
