Winter Wonderland

East Princes Street Gardens have been turned into a fairground as part of Edinburgh's Christmas festivities. One of the most popular attractions every year is the outdoor ice rink in the lower level of the gardens. I'm not a skater myself, but I imagine it would be great fun to skate around and enjoy the lights and the view.

It does look like a lot of fun but I would spend all my time sitting on the ice I'm sure.

The ice rink with the buildings in the background makes a nice photo.

Hi Grant, haven't been here for a long time :)...I should come here more often because I'm taking a Napier U program in HK :-)

I would surely end up flat on my backside too! Great location though.

Lisi - hope the Napier University course is going well - they don't offer free trips to Edinburgh do they??

I'm phobic about skating too (long story - perhaps Ham from London DP should take a picture of Streatham Icerink so that you can see the source of my trauma!). But I agree, Edinburgh's gorgeous this time of year.
