Like many other cities, Edinburgh has invested heavily in public art projects, some of which are loved more than others. This is one of the latest which was unveiled outside the Omni entertainment centre in July of last year. Officially entitled 'Dreaming Spires' it shows two giraffes made up entirely of recycled motorbike and car parts. It is the work of a Scottish artist called Helen Denerley. I like them. What do you reckon?

I love them! And I like that I knew what they were. Sometimes art is so abstract that it goes over my head. ;)

I like them as well! And the fact that they are made of recycled parts of cars and motorbikes adds to the charm of it.
Wonderful bit of public art. I seem to be of the same sentiments as the others :I much prefer art which visually makes sense. Seeing a splash of red on a white canvas and calling it Anger: No 3 just doesn't turn my crank.

I wondered what they were! I saw them last time I was in Edinburgh visiting friends. I was a bit tipsy at the time, so I did wonder what I was seeing!
